If you don't, water will leak into your sub and damage the electronicsThis sub is rated to operate in bodies of water up to the depth of 1 meter (appr. 1 yard) and in freshwater ONLY. I am not responsible if your submarine becomes damaged because you operate it outside the depth parameters or in a saltwater environment.
